Michelle Mennini, a dedicated nurse, advocate, and leader in the mental health and recovery community, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the age of 27.
Born on November 18, 1998, in Erie, Pennsylvania, she spent her life by helping other navigate some of their difficult moments with compassion and strength.
She worked extensively in the mental health and drug and alcohol field, becoming a respected figure through her long standing role with the Mental Health Association of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
Starting her journey in 2012, she rose through the ranks, eventually serving as Director in the field.
In addition to her leadership role, Michelle served as a Supervisor External Advocate at Warren State Hospital.
As a Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Coach and Pardon Coach, she helped individuals rebuild their lives, providing both practical support and emotional encouragement.
She pursued nursing through Health ventures Alliance and dedictaed nearly two decades to the profession.
Following her untimely passing, close ones and relatives have come together for support and sent their heartfelt condolences.
She is survived by her cousins Alex D’Onofrio, Ashley Pesi, and Gina Pesi Statton.
Michelle will always be remembered for her unforgettable contributions as a nurse, advicate, and mental health and recovery community leader.
